Dominique’s passion for dental hygiene started in New York City College of Dentistry where she received her Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. She has been practicing dental hygiene since 2004 and she was awarded the “Long Island Odontology” award. She is proud to follow the footsteps of her family who worked in the dental field. Her Grandfather was a dental technician and she remembers him showing her the models of teeth when she was a child. She has an aunt who worked as a dental assistant and an uncle who practiced dentistry in England. She was born in Suriname, South America where she spoke predominantly Dutch and learned some Spanish. She moved to Tallahassee when she was 15 years old and attended Lincoln High School. Before she studied Dental Hygiene, she received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at University of Central Florida. She now lies in Apopka with her wonderful husband and three handsome boys. She loves spending time with her family by going to Disney. She enjoys cooking, baking and entertaining. Her outdoor adventures are going to the beach, camping, playing tennis and swimming. She is very ecstatic to be part of the Smiles by Hazen Team. Educating patients on their gum health and making a change in their gum health is what makes her smile.
